Another burst of attention for green/environmentally focused startups in Africa came recently with the launch of an acceleration program was for green entrepreneurs at the Seed Africa Symposium 2014 in Nairobi. Ventures based in Kenya and South Africa are eligible.

The initiative is driven by Impact Amplifier, Growth Africa, VC4Africa and Hivos.

The Green Pioneer Accelerator Program has been developed for early stage companies looking to position themselves for scale. This program is designed to support entrepreneurs who have ambitions to take the next step in growing their business to a national and regional scale.”
