What will you be doing on the 29th of September? You might want to make way on your calendar for this.

Remember how we told you Google now lets developers publish paid Android apps from Nigeria? Well, the Google Developer Group in Lagos and MobileMonday team are putting together an event to show you how to monetize your apps right. And why would you want to be there?

The event, themed “Android | UI/UX | The UI Challenge“, will be host to a core member of the Google Play team, Tzvika Barenholz, who will be talking to developers on the process and sharing strategies for monetization.

Also, Zainab and Ikenna, two developers from the Konga.com mobile apps team that gave us the beautiful Konga mobile app, will be on ground to share in-house design principles and guidelines for creating awesome apps.

Finally, there will be a  UI Challenge – an avenue for developers to showcase their design skills – and apparently. a Moto 360 smartwatch is up for grabs.

Is your interest piqued already? Event details are as follows:

  • Venue: Co-Creation Hub – 294 Herbert Macaulay Road, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos.
  • Date: Monday September 29
  • Time: 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm

But you have to register to attend. Registration is free of course.

In case you have any more questions about the event or monetizing your apps on the PlayStore, a Google Moderator page has been created to cater to your needs ahead of the event.
