Launchlab
Tech-driven entrepreneurs in South Africa have been invited to participate in a 14-week Launchlab Lift-Off accelerator training programme that will kick off on February 2 2015.

Launchlab Lift-Off is a business incubator that offers mentoring and coaching to a community of entrepreneurs. The 14-week training is designed to improve skills and create an avenue where young entrepreneurs can accelerate to a new level.

The programme sets to see participants complete seven modules on introduction to entrepreneurship, marketing, finance and operations, three fieldwork modules, and a period allowing for the preparation of a final presentation.

Participants at the Launchlab Lift-Off are required to pay ZAR5,000 (US$434) plus VAT. The programme will run from February 2 through May 8.

Afterwards, participant who complete the seven modules will be qualified to pitch for ZAR15,000 (US$1,300) in funding.

“With this programme the LaunchLab wishes to take entrepreneurs to a new level, by giving them the necessary tools to build sustainable businesses or if they already have sustainable businesses, give them tools to remedy any weak points that may be present in their current businesses,” LaunchLab said.

Monte Maputla, a participant from the last year’s edition said, “Launchlab life-Off programme can be equated to a mini MBA.”

Applications can be made by emailing apply@launchlab.co.za.
