VergePOS has emerged winner of the Lagos AppCircus event.

The product, demoed by Francis Osifo – the developer – is an inventory management and Point of Sale solution for micro, small and medium scale retailers. It helps them track sales and gather analytics on customer sentiments. The startup is also one of four that recently graduated from iDea’s accelerator programme.

As we earlier reported, the winning concept will get a chance to demo at Mobile Premier Awards 2016; one of the sessions at the mobile world congress in Barcelona.

Eight concepts out of the initial nine finalist pitched to the jury at the event; Scantranx POS, Verge POS, Swap Naija, RouteBuzz, BrainFriend, Campus Pal, Kunku, and Ask an Expert Live Chat.

Ask An Expert, an app that connects people with advisers and experts for consultation purposes, came in at second place.

The AppCircus event is a global traveling showcase of the most creative and innovative apps presented by their creators. The 2016 AppCircus in Lagos was supported by Intel, in partnership with co-working space and incubator, CcHub.
