This year’s New Media Conference is taking place next week, May 27, 2016  at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Lagos. This is the second edition of the conference so far, and it will feature key media practitioners, digital media agencies and corporate brands.

Themed “Business Unusual: Nurturing a More Vibrant New Media Industry in Nigeria”, the conference will discuss the Nigerian digital media space as well how new media can be applied to different sectors of the economy. Topics to be covered include corporate branding, digital agency, social media influence, tech blogging and new media.

Speaking on the upcoming conference, organiser, Tosin Ajibade said, “This year’s conference is particularly important. We are converging to articulate interests and inputs from stakeholders in the Nigerian online/digital media space and seeking to turn the results of that conversation to real-world uses.”

The speakers at the conference include industry experts like Chude Jideonwo, Subomi Plumptre, Joy Isi Bewaji, and our very own Bankole Oluwafemi. The keynote speakers are Lola Masha, Country Manager for OLX Nigeria, and Olajumoke Okikiolu, Senior Manager, Product Marketing at Samsung Electronics West Africa.

There’s also going to be an NMC Showcase where participants can exhibit their ideas and stand a chance to win N300,000 from Orange Academy.

If you are interested in attending, registration is free and you can do that here. Registration starts at the conference at 8am.
