I put it to you that you haven’t seen anything like this before. Researchers from UC Davis have developed something called the KiloCore. As the name suggests, it’s a processor with 1000 cores.

Even more impressive than the amount of raw power it packs, is the fact that it can shut down cores it’s not using. This means that it can perform 115 billion instructions every second, while consuming just 0.7 watts of power. Ah. May. Seen.
