This year’s Web Summit is happening in Lisbon, Portugal from November 7 – 10, and the Nigerian Portugal Friendship & Business Association is partnering with Five Thousand Miles to offer travel packages to Nigerians who wish to attend.

Web Summit is a collection of summits in various fields featuring popular and acclaimed players in these fields. This year’s Summit will contain 20 conferences in fields that range from technology to sports, music, fashion, and marketing. But that’s just during the day. There’s a Night Summit that happens every night and it’s a festival of sorts, filled with parties, dinners, and live music. It’s a lot of fun and networking, and word has it Uber raised $37 million over a few beers at one of the Night Summits.

There are going to be 600 speakers at Web Summit 2016 and they include John Chambers (Executive Chairman, Cisco Systems), Mike Shroepfer (CTO, Facebook), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (actor), Ronaldinho (professional footballer), and Dave McClure (Founder, 500 startups), to mention a few.

The Web Summit package courtesy NPFBA and Five Thousand Miles comes with:

  • A Nigerian Portugal Friendship & Business Association membership
  • Visa support
  • Transportation from the airport
  • Hotel accommodation for the duration of the Summit (plus an extra day)
  • Transportation to and from the Summit
  • A one-day tour after the Summit
  • A meeting with international private equity firms and investors interested in African business opportunities
  • Meetings with Portuguese companies in your area of business

The first 20 packages will be sold at N1.4 million (the sponsors reserve the right to alter this price in accordance with Nigerian currency fluctuations) and interested entrepreneurs can find out more here and/or fill the form here.
