Women in Technology Africa will be hosting its #WomenInTechWeek in 9 African countries – Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Mauritius, Botswana and Cape Verde – from September 26 to 30, 2016.

The events will hold physically and virtually in both Africa and the diaspora (China, Germany, USA, Canada, Belgium, and the UK) and it will celebrate African women who work in technology. Participants will have the chance to meet and network with amazing women in tech globally, and also share experiences and empower each other to advance the technology growth agenda.

Women in Tech Africa founder, Ethel Cofie says, “This is a collaborative attempt to build a global network, allowing us women to compare our challenges, learn from other countries and connect across borders to expand our influence.”

Themes that will be discussed at the events include Women in Leadership, Digital Africa, Social Enterprise, Work – Life Balance, Security, Innovation and Technology for the Next Generation among others.
