1. Teraco got the dough – My subpar rhyming skills aside, South African data centre operator, Teraco, has raised new funding. It’s a $900,000 debt facility from Absa to enable it complete its ongoing data centre facility while also investing in a new location. Link.

2. Global bitcoin firm, Bitwala, has just launched a new product that will let its customers transfer funds to mobile money accounts using Bitcoin. The service is available in Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda and it’s free to use. Link.

3. Fitfam here we come – Truppr has launched a new Facebook Messenger bot to help you find fitness activities and workout buddies around you. The bot is named TSam and it uses your location to suggest fitness activities in your area. Link.

4. There hasn’t been internet connectivity in Anglophone Cameroon for 57 Days now. AP reports on how much these shutdowns have cost African countries in the past year.
