Facebook believes internet connectivity is a fundamental human right and by Jove, they’re doing everything to prove that. Word has it they’re partnering with Cool Link to set up Express Wifi hotspots in various parts of Lagos.

ExpressWifi is a Facebook initiative that gives mobile device owners in underserved communities access to fast and affordable internet service through partnerships with local internet service providers. It’s already live in India and seems to be doing better than Free Basics did over there.

There’s a site where people can sign up for a 14-day free trial (with up to 100MB per day) but coverage areas haven’t been announced yet. We’ll update this as soon as we find out where these areas are.
