Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) has partnered with mobile operator Vodafone Ghana for a 48 hours Hackton.

In its event details on Eventbrite, the event is designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs.

Also, the weekend event will major on encouraging the development of solutions that will improve access to information, simplify transactions and shorten process.

“The weekend event is centred on action, innovation, and education. Beginning with Thursday morning pitches and continuing through testing, business model development, and basic prototype creation, the event will climax on Saturday with demos to a panel of potential investors and local entrepreneurs,” MEST and Vodafone Ghana said.

Workers, freelancers, Software developers, entrepreneurs or students with ideas or innovations that respond to convenience and making life simpler for Ghanaians are encouraged to apply.

The official theme for the event is: Powerfully Simple- Using the Power of Technology to Simplify Lives. Also, the organizers will be rewarding top winners at the end of the event.

Hackton is scheduled for February 5th till 7th at Accra, Ghana. Interested applicants can register free for the event here.
