PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), a multinational professional services network, has named 20 companies that will participate in its Vision to Reality awards, a programme that celebrates emerging companies that employ technological solutions.

Disrupt Africa reports that the 20 finalists were selected from a pool of over 80 companies across Africa.

The 20 finalists are: BabyGroup, Clear Sky Energy (Pty) Ltd, Digicash, Emerge Mobile, eMoyo, Everlytic, Info Slips, Nomanini, Open Box Software, Origin Dynamic Systems (Pty) Ltd, Overscore (Pty) Ltd, PayFast, Quicket, Sea Monster Entertainment, SNC (Stellenbosch Nanofibres Technology), SPARK Schools, Telemedicine Africa (Pty) Ltd, Traderoot Technologies, Xpitec (Pty) Ltd and 10X Investments.

“These innovative emerging companies are disruptive and are highly scalable businesses. They require professional services to add value to their goals and vision, and ensure they are sustainable.” said Danie Fölscher, a PwC partner in charge of the Western Cape region

The finalists will pitch at the PwC Pitching Den at the SA Innovation Summit on August 28. The top 10 companies will be drawn here and will enter into PwC’s mentorship programme with access to local and global industry players.

The overall winner among these will proceed to the global PriceWaterhouseCoopers Accelerator conference where PwC’s Accelerator team showcases the flagship companies selected by PwC’s Accelerator worldwide to enhance their visibility and credibility.
