Instagram

You can now add up to 5 Instagram accounts, without having to logout and log back in. This easter egg is included in the latest update, version 7.15.

The feature, which has been on other social networks, like Twitter, for aeons, has only just gotten the nod from the Instagram team. Instagram has been testing the feature, since last November, but announced on its blog, that starting this week, the option would get rolled out for everyone.

To access the feature, you can go to the settings page, scroll down, tap Add Account, and enter the username and password of each account you want to add. To switch between accounts, go to your profile, tap your username, and select the account you want to switch to.

It’s easy to see how this would improve the life of any social media manager, out there (or anyone who needs to post a selfie, from a friend’s phone). Imagine managing your personal account, in addition to up to 2 other company accounts. That’s a lot of passwords to remember, but it was either that, or having to use some wonky third party apps.

Update: Some users reported that even after updating to 7.15, the feature was still not available to them. A possible fix, is to delete the app, and re-download it from the App Store, or Google Play Store.
