Chief marketing officers and digital marketers are now able to propose effective marketing strategies to management and measure direct returns on investment while reaching their various audience through intelligent tech platforms.

This was the consensus at the end of the maiden edition of the Digital Marketing Virtual Exhibition 2020 organized by the Association of Digital Marketing Professionals of Nigeria (ADMARP). The event, which held over the weekend, had an average of 1,000 active participants throughout the 6-hour virtual event. With exhibitions from notable tech organizations like Opera, Oracle, Terragon, DoChase, Media Pal, Eskimi, and Mdundo from Kenya, the event had in attendance over 150 c-suites as well as business owners, digital marketers, and industry enthusiasts.

Speaking about the experience and planning for #DMVE2020, the President, Association of Digital Marketing Professionals, Oti Ukubeyinje said: “The exhibitors came prepared and were quite thorough in showing the participants their platforms. The panel discussion was particularly interesting as panelists answered key questions that resonated with participants. For example, the question of whether organizations should work with in-house teams or agencies was significant as participants included in-house staff and agency employees. I dare say this was our most successful event since the establishment of the Association.”

During his keynote address, Abiodun Ajiborode, Acting Marketing Director, Coca Cola Nigeria spoke on the transition from traditional marketing and the outcomes of marketing activities to the expectations of a sophisticated market in the 21st Century in respect to innovative digital strategies to get people’s attention and convert leads. Panel Session Moderator Ose Osundeko, Group Head, Digital Marketing, Fidelity Bank Plc led panelists Dayo Elegbe, Lanre Basamta, Buki Osunkeye, Damilola Abodunrin and Dayo Adefila on conversations around investments in technology tools, effective measurement of marketing activities, amongst many others.

The Digital Marketing Virtual Exhibition 2020 event was supported by media organisations including Marketing Edge, Benjamin Dada Blog, and Guardian amongst others.
