Exclusive: Wasoko exits Zanzibar, pauses Uganda and Zambia operations in profitability push

Through Wasoko’s platform, informal retailers are able to order products at any time via SMS or mobile app for free same-day delivery to their stores.

Wasoko, the Kenyan e-commerce company, shut down its operations in Zanzibar on January 29 and paused operations in Uganda and Zambia on February 5, the company confirmed in a statement.
