For the first time ever, Seedstars World was in Mali to pick the best seed stage startup that would represent the country at the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland. Seedstars Bamako happened on Sunday, September 4, 2016 and AikoCorp emerged winner out of the 8 startups that were shortlisted to pitch.

The event was at Impact Hub, Bamako and AikoCorp apparently outshone the other startups that were present. AikoCorp is a service that allows hospitals and laboratories (confidentially) send medical results to patients through SMS. Airtime transfer service, Transup, came in second place, while motorcycle registration and insurance device, Feuze came in third. The other startups that pitched at Seedstars Bamako are Pharmoso, E-Keneya, AllianceJ, Orientkey, and HMV.

AikoCorp will be competing with startups from over 65 countries across the world for the chance to win $1.5 million in equity investment at the Seedstars World Summit in Switzerland.
