On Sunday 4th April 2021 in Los Angeles, Platform Capital hosted an exclusive celebratory dinner in honor of MaC Venture’s fund close at $110 million. Platform Capital, an early investor in the fund is pleased with this great feat. This is the largest first fundraised by a majority Black-led team.

The MaC Venture Capital team is led by the very experienced team of Marlon Nichols, Adrian Fenty, Michael Palank, and Charles King, who have a strong track record of 100+ investments across various sectors including Airspace, Blavity, Caffeine, Citizen, Fair, Faze Clan, Flexport, Gimlet, PlayVS, Ready Responders, Truebill, AI Foundation and many more. “We would really like to thank Platform Capital for believing in us, without them believing, we would not have been able to deploy capital early to invest in some of the companies that we have in our portfolio today. With this new fund, the company intends to make at least 40 investments on average and has already closed 27 deals so far.
