OnePort 365, Africa’s digital freight management startup, has joined the inaugural cohort of first-of-its-kind logistics startup incubator, ODX Flexport.
ODX Flexport, an incubator program by Flexport and On Deck, was designed to accelerate the next wave of logistics startups across the world.
Oneport 365 received funding from the community-backed incubator program. Operational in Nigeria and Ghana, the tech startup helps African cross-border traders manage all of their freight processes through a digital freight management platform. The platform provides end-to-end digital access to all-inclusive seamless freight forwarding, improving efficiency and lowering overheads for African businesses.
The incubator program will support Oneport 365’s commitment to streamlining the trade process for African cross-border traders, using technology to structure and automate freight management processes.
Commenting on the ODX Flexport incubator program, Cofounder, OnePort 365, Hio Sola-Usidame noted that the program supports both parties’ vision to make global trade easy for everyone. He remarked that the collaboration between Flexport and On Deck represents an important milestone in building a more resilient and efficient supply chain as well as driving digitalization across the world’s logistics infrastructure.
“We are aware of the challenges involved when dealing with the import and export of goods from this part of the world. We deal with a lot of exporters daily and the process can be quite complex. Our purpose is to usher in a radical change that enhances Africa’s participation in global trade with a complete systemic transformation,” he said.
Founded in 2013, Flexport is a freight forwarding and customs brokerage company based in the US.
On Deck is a modern startup accelerator that has already helped founders start 650+ companies that have gone on to raise $800m+ and are now worth over $5 billion, in just two years.
