Lagos, Nigeria, October 24 2024 –  Africa’s tech scene converged at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos earlier this month for Moonshot by TechCabal, a leading tech conference. Quidax, an African founded cryptocurrency exchange, launched its Crypto Innovation Pitch at the event, aiming to support promising startups by awarding over $100,000 in funding and support to three standout startups. This included $10,000 in direct funding, $80,000 in cloud credit services from Huawei, and $20,000  in payment processing credit  from Fincra.

The competition attracted a wave of impressive applications, but ultimately three winners were chosen for their potential to impact the crypto space: Zinari Pay, awarded $6,000 for its crypto payment solutions; Play2Learn Game, awarded $3,000 for its groundbreaking blockchain-based learning platform; and Plychain, awarded $1,000 for its infrastructure solutions designed to enhance crypto ecosystems.

“Quidax remains committed to helping African startups thrive by offering resources and support to the next generation of tech disruptors,” said Uzo Awili, Quidax Chief Technology Office (CTO) and Co-founder, during the awards presentation. “We are excited to see how these startups will evolve and contribute to the growth of crypto innovation in Africa.”
