HTN Towers, an independent tower operator in Nigeria has entered a managed services, and co-location agreement with SWAP technologies and telecoms PLC, ITWebAfrica reports.
When the deal is complete, HTN Towers will manage and operate up to 702 sites owned by SWAP, located in Lagos, Abuja, and 32 other states, increasing its tower sites from 1200 to around 1905 – an increment of 58 percent.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of HTN Towers, “The agreement provides the platform to expand the number of towers we manage by up to 58% and increase our coverage across Nigeria. It is also a further vote of confidence in the strength and quality of HTN Towers’ operations and customer service.”
HTN have started managing 100 SWAP-owned sites, and will take over the remaining sites in stages, and refurbish them to HTN standards. The agreement will also allow HTN interact directly with SWAP customers, and earn additional revenues from co-location.
