What’s the future of logistics in African markets?

15th July, 2022

On Friday, July 15, join us for a TC Live session where we discuss navigating the path to efficient logistics in Africa.

The growth of e-commerce in Africa has driven high demand in the logistics sector, increasing the need for delivery platforms for food and other goods, and therefore making logistics a centerpiece in the world of commerce.

Today, Africa’s logistics sector is not just seeing an increasing number of startups tackling different problems within the space, it’s also seeing an increase in funding. In 2021, logistics startups were second only to fintech in terms of funding raised.

During this session, we’ll be discussing the barriers plaguing the growth of logistics in Africa, how stakeholders can collaborate toward addressing these barriers, and what can drive more widespread penetration of tech in traditional logistics.

Our speakers are:

  • Miishe Addy – Co-founder and CEO, Jetstream Africa
  • Louis Yaw Afful – Executive Director – AfCFTA Policy Network
  • Mark Mwangi – Founder and CEO, Amitruck
  • Tola Onayemi – CEO, Norebase

Attendees will also be able to ask burning questions in an interactive session. The event is open to experienced and aspiring logistics companies, e-commerce platforms, SMEs, policymakers and regulators, founders, investors, tech enthusiasts and advocates who are playing in the African technology industry.
