Hannatu Asheolge is a Reporter at TechCabal, where she mainly writes about women in the ecosystem, digital culture, and human impact.
As a reporter, Hannatu is most interested in amplifying the contributions of women to the African tech ecosystem, as well as how everyday people interact with technology and the ways in which it affects their lives.
Before her role at TechCabal, Hannatu worked at CIO Africa, a Kenyan business and tech magazine targeted at senior technology professionals. She is also a freelance contributor for BusinessDay newspaper and AMAKA Studio — where she writes articles on culture, politics, and lifestyle.
Hannatu is a graduate of Microbiology and is currently working on a postgraduate diploma in Communications. Outside of work, she volunteers with charities like TheirWorld where she supports the launch of projects to improve rural education access. She also co-runs a reproductive health community for women and writes an infrequent fashion blog.
