Think connected city. Startup company, SOP notify, installs smart sensors in different parts of Nigerian cities, for now Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt and Lagos to monitor power outages and restorations.

 

The information from the sensors are sent to the servers and distributed to users through the mobile app, SMS, email and social media.

SOP notify was founded by Toks Ogun and was launched January 1st, 2014. The company, which provides consumers with real-time data and soon advanced data on power availability in their communities, emerged winners in the company ‘Apps for Life’ category of 2014 Ericsson Apps Awards.
