Impact Hub, in partnership with Cordaid, has announced the launch of its new program, Resilience Africa, in five countries: Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya and Sierra Leone, according to Disrupt Africa news.

Impact Hub which has 54 hubs across the world with over 7,000 members, last month selected teams from seven countries to take part in its Africa Seed Programme, a six-month incubator designed to support entrepreneurs in opening Impact Hubs across Africa. The organization is now going a step further by partnering Dutch NGO Cordaid to launch Resilience Africa, a 6-month long program that helps purpose-driven entrepreneur become a part of the impact makers in the business world. The program plans to open another six Impact Hubs, run two incubator programmes and two thought leadership events, and social business incubator.

“Africa is a continent brimming with fertile ideas for sparking change – but these ideas cannot happen in isolation,” Impact Hub said.

Applications are being invited from those interested in being trained to run hubs in the specified locations, while Impact Hub will introduce four Impact Hub Fellowship Programmes and two Social Business Incubators (SBI) into the physical spaces.
The Impact Hub Fellowship Programme is a theme-based one-year incubation programme offering between 100 and 160 social entrepreneurs extensive support from the Impact Hub, and will be launched in the newly established Impact Hubs in Burundi, the DRC and Kenya.
Meanwhile, the Social Business Incubator will be spearheaded by Cordaid and Enviu in the new hubs in Ethiopia and Sierra Leone, focusing on helping social entrepreneurs develop their ideas into investor-ready ventures.
“These incubator programmes will enable entrepreneurs to realise their ideas for a sustainable world,” Impact Hub said.
