Ghana’s social networking and notification app for university students, Flippy Campus has qualified to participate at the 2015 DEMO Africa event holding in Lagos by September, reports Techmoran.
Flippy Campus participated in the DEMO Africa mini pitch event held in Ghana to screen participating startups for the finals and edged out nine other startups at the mini event.
“I am elated at this win and I look forward to learning more from other entrepreneurs and mentors at the DEMO Africa event in Lagos come September”, says David Sleek, Flippy Campus’ Founder.
Launched earlier in the year, Flippy Campus allows students receive notifications of activities on campus, either in halls, departments or groups and they can also share information on other extracurricular activities.
This year’s DEMO Africa main event will see 30 startups pitch their products before investors, entrepreneurs and other members of the tech ecosystem in Africa. As we reported earlier, members of the European Business Angel Network will attend the event scheduled for September 2015.
Other DEMO Africa mini pitch event will hold in Nairobi, Cairo and Harare on June 12, 22 and 24 respectively.
