Orange

Orange Kenya has rolled out its 3G network services to Kajiado County, South West Kenya.

Techmoran reports that Orange Kenya wants to use the network expansion as a move to  drive growth by attracting more subscribers and increasing revenue base.

The county is the 41st in Kenya to have Orange 3G service across the country, and the telco has a target to reach 47 counties by year-end 2015.

TechMoran reports that Orange might in fact be playing catch up in Kenya as competition is already transitioning to 4G. Safaricom is already launching its 4G networks across the country while Airtel has been refarming its networks to be 4G-ready.
