Seedstars World is a global competition for startups in emerging markets. Startups from Africa, Asia, Australia, South America and Europe, get to compete against each other on an international stage.
Seedstars World 2014 will involve 30 startup scenes from around the world, including 8 region in Africa. Each region gets to submit one finalist each to be invited to a 4-day bootcamp Switzerland, cumulating in a grand finale, where they pitch against each other to an international jury, for a shot at a grand prize of $500,000 in equity investment
In conjunction with local partners Co-creation Hub, Seedstars Lagos 2014 will be hosted at the Cchub on the 13th of June, 2014. 20 pre-selected startups will compete for a chance to represent Lagos at the finale. These startups must meet the following criteria:
- Less than $500,000 in capital investment
- Maximum 2 years since founding date
- A product that is up and running in the market
- A global project, potentially scalable at an international level
