Uber is piloting its electric car service, uberGREEN, this month in Cape Town, South Africa. Just like it sounds, UberGREEN is eco-friendly and riders will be able to request BMW i3 cars at the same price as uberX vehicles.
This is the second time Uber is testing this service in South Africa. In April, Johannesburg had a go with it for six weeks. UberGREEN will be available in Cape Town CBD and Atlantic Seaboard everyday between 7am and 7pm. Side eye to Nigeria, as other countries cut down Carbon emissions.
