You’ve built a shiny new app/platform/gizmo that is a feat of engineering and design. But do you know if people will use it? TechCabal and OLX are organising a masterclass for developers about building products that humans will actually use, with a super interesting speaker line up from across the industry.

We’re bringing in Chief Technology Officer OLX  (Sub-Saharan Africa), Stephen Ballot, Product Owner, OLX (Sub-Saharan Africa), Stephen van der Heijden, Kene Udeze, Ire Aderinokun, and Oo Nwoye.

Stephen Ballot has been with OLX since October 2013, starting off as the Head of Product, OLX South Africa. It was during his run as Product Head that OLX launched its first South African localised website. Stephen also has over 6 years experience as a business manager, having worked at 6th Line and Media 24 Ltd, where he saw to the development of apps focused on improving performance.

Stephen van der Heijden is currently a Consultant Product Owner at OLX (Sub-Saharan Africa). Previously he spent two years as the Operations and Product Manager for M4JAM (Pty) Ltd., before going on to start UNO Digital ZA, a digital strategy agency.

Kene Udeze is the UX Lead at CcHub and has been for the last two years. Before that, he was a freelance UI designer/developer and worked on projects with Microsoft, Nokia and The Tony Elumelu Foundation.

Ire Aderinokun leads Design & Technology Product at Big Cabal Media. She’s an accomplished front-end developer and designer and a leading voice in the local developer community.

Oo Nwoye is the founder and Executive Director of TechCircle Nigeria. He’s co-founded a few startups (including Fonebase Labs), and is a strong voice in the Nigerian tech ecosystem. Oo is passionate about the growth of the Nigerian tech system and pens some great insights on his blog.

This developer masterclass is powered by OLX, and it’s happening next week.

Date: Wednesday, August 10, 2016.

Venue: iDEA Hub, 296 Herbert Macaulay Road, Yaba, Lagos.
