On Tuesday, Access Bank unveiled the 5.0 version of Paywithcapture at an exclusive launch at the Civic Center, Lagos. Uti Nwachukwu, Illrymz, Gbemileke Oscar Oyinsan and Akah Nnani were a few of the notable personalities present at the exclusive gathering. Guests also included a selected group of young techies, myself included, who were treated with invites to a mystery event.
Paywithcapture has come a long way since its first version’s launch in 2015.
Its initial unique selling point was the contactless payment feature. This enabled users to simply scan a QR code with their phone cameras at a merchant’s point of sale.
With the newly innovated app comes the provision of various mobile payment channels and mobile banking functionalities across the spectrum. The highlight is undoubtedly the card linkage feature, which allows users engage with countless bank cards, all from one device. Users can also spread a payment across multiple cards, and work offline due to the encrypted background USSD and SMS technologies.
Its social banking feature is also guaranteed to be a hit. This supports the instant opening of bank accounts from personal Facebook and Twitter accounts.
The app is now available for download at bit.do/paywithcapture
