Despite interest in the arts, art and design practice in Nigeria continues to witness a downward trend. How can African craftsmanship use technology to preserve its traditions but also mass-produce and export to the world, catalyzing commerce and socioeconomic impact – for individuals as well as African economies?

Technology should be a transformative socioeconomic agent for the continent with the aim to support local producers of cultural goods and services and the potential to build high-value, profitable businesses that can grow the economy at large.

That’s why a crafty marketplace startup, Dazzlos embarked on a project dubbed the “Etsy of Africa” with a mission to keep commerce social and help millions of young creative entrepreneurs like artisans, artists, and crafters to easily sell their creativity online.

The project will economically liberate 100 million people skilled in handmade goods craftsmanship across Africa, starting with Nigeria to easily sell their creativity within minutes.

We are doing this with a global marketplace, studio, and co-branded events across Africa where people come together to make, sell, buy and collect unique items.

We are also a community pushing for positive change for small businesses, people, and the planet. We make the whole process easy, by leveraging technology to build Africa’s global marketplace where crafty creators and those interested in their creative styles can discover and buy those goods.
