On Saturday, September 13th, 2025, over 200 tech enthusiasts gathered at The Zone Tech Park, Gbagada, Lagos for the maiden edition of Tech Forge, a curated tech experience hosted by Paul Edward, the founder of The Infinite Community.
The Infinite Community is a growing network of young techies, innovators, and creatives committed to sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and building Africa’s future through technology. Its mission is simple: to help people grow in their tech journeys by providing clarity, guidance, and a supportive community. Tech Forge was created as an extension of that vision — a platform to bridge the gap between learning and doing, between curiosity and career growth.
The central theme for Tech Forge 2025 was “Forging the Tools of Tomorrow, Today”. This theme is timely and relevant, as industries worldwide are being reshaped by artificial intelligence, financial innovation, and emerging web technologies. The event positioned itself not just as another conference, but as a movement equipping today’s techies to stay relevant, adaptable, and future-ready.
The program featured three power-packed sessions:
● “Forge Ahead with Web APIs: Unlocking Next-Level Experiences Before 2025 Ends” by Paul Edward (Infinity), Senior Software Engineer and CTO, who broke down the hidden power of browser Web APIs in shaping user experiences.
● “Forging the Human-AI Alliance: Winning in a Machine-Driven World” by Uche Edwin, AI researcher and expert, who explored the collaboration between humans and machines for the future of work.
● “Forge beyond the paycheck: Building lasting wealth in tech” by Financial Jennifer, finance educator and strategist, who showed how tech professionals can master money, investments, and wealth building in a digital-first age.
The sessions were guided seamlessly by the event compere – Mercy Ajibade, whose energy and wit kept the flow lively, and the moderator – Abati Oluwatoyosi Dorcas, who ensured conversations stayed sharp, engaging, and thought-provoking, as well as the spoken-word performance by Sherifat Umar that used poetry as a tool to lighten the room.
Tech Forge 2025 was a sold-out success. In fact, the hall reached full capacity within the first hour, and the organizing team had to send out emails to later registrants letting them know the venue was completely filled. This overwhelming response underscored just how hungry the world is for spaces like Tech Forge.
At its core, Tech Forge 2025 left attendees with one key message: the future of tech will not be stumbled upon; it must be forged intentionally through learning, collaboration, and innovation.
The success of this maiden edition signals a strong foundation for future editions, with Paul Edward and The Infinite Community committed to expanding its reach and building a movement that shapes the future of Africa’s tech ecosystem.
