A 7-month structured commercialization pathway for research-driven and deep-tech startups to secure pilots, funding, and market traction.

The next generation of Africa’s transformative startups will not only build apps. They will build solutions rooted in science, engineering, and deep technology.
That’s the vision behind the SWIT Accelerator, launched by Southwest Innovation & Technology Co. Ltd. (SWIT), the innovation subsidiary of Odu’a Investment Company, Nigeria’s largest state-backed regional investment group.
The program runs for 7 months, helping research-driven and technical founders gain traction and capital.
The model is simple: run pilots, generate evidence, and unlock investment.
What founders get
- Pre-Accelerator (Nov–Feb): application fit, customer validation, pilot Letter of Intents (LOIs)
- Accelerator (Mar–Jun): $50k equity per startup for the top 10; pilots with program partners (hospitals, farms, utilities, estates); fundraising preparation for follow-on.
- Sector coaches, venture builders, business development, and legal support.
Who should apply
Science/engineering or deep tech startups in health, agriculture, energy/climate, materials, or frontier tech solving massive problems; strong IP defensibility, pilot-ready; led by committed teams and linked to Southwest Nigeria (origin of a co-founder or operating base)
Deadline: October 31, 2025
