“With Edozzier, we’ve been able to achieve a remarkable milestone—expanding to 7 additional campuses across 4 cities in 4 years and we’re not done yet.”

    — Dr. Adegbenro Ajani, Provost, SQI College of ICT

This is the story of how SQI College of ICT transformed from a single-campus training institute into a multi-campus, tech-led education network and how Edozzier powered that transformation. Faced with fragmented processes, limited financial visibility, and growing operational complexity, SQI adopted Edozzier to unify academic, administrative, and financial workflows. The results were dramatic: streamlined admissions, transparent finances, data-driven planning, and the rapid but sustainable expansion to seven additional campuses across four cities in four years.

This case study is written as a narrative for school leaders, technologists, and education partners who want a clear blueprint of how a modern school-management platform can enable growth while preserving academic quality and financial discipline.

    The Campus Before the Cloud

SQI College of ICT began as a focused, mission-driven institution dedicated to producing industry-ready technology talent. Its reputation for quality teaching and practical skills created demand beyond its original location. But growth brings complexity: student records multiplied, fee streams diversified, staff payroll and HR duties ballooned, and leadership needed real-time insight to make fast, confident decisions.

The college’s leadership, driven by a belief that technology should simplify operations rather than complicate them, set out to find a solution that would: unify academic workflows, bring financial clarity, automate routine tasks, and scale with the institution’s ambitions.

Building a System Before Building Campuses

When Edozzier was first introduced, SQI had only one campus, the main campus in Ogbomoso. The leadership, however, had bigger dreams. They envisioned a network of campuses across multiple cities. But to make that dream sustainable, they needed a system that would allow the main campus to oversee others seamlessly.

But one big question remained: How could SQI scale without losing control?

    In other words…

How could they maintain academic consistency, financial discipline, and operational efficiency across multiple campuses?

Expanding not only meant opening new buildings or hiring more instructors; it also meant building a connected ecosystem, one that could unify academic records, manage finances across locations, and maintain visibility from the main campus to the newest site.

    Edozzier became that system.

The platform was designed not just to automate processes but to lay the digital foundation for expansion. Edozzier became the central nervous system of SQI: every student, staff, transaction, and academic record flowing through a single, intelligent platform.

When the time came to open new campuses, the systems were already in place. Each new location simply plugged into the same Edozzier environment  instantly connected, instantly manageable.

How the Rollout Worked (A Homecoming Story)

The implementation of Edozzier at SQI was an homecoming story.

A large part of the Edozzier building team consisted of SQI alumni, exceptional young professionals who had once walked the same halls, studied in the same classrooms, and learned the very skills they were now using to transform the college.

Because they understood SQI’s culture, systems, and goals, the process felt more like collaboration than consultancy. They weren’t outsiders fixing a problem, they were insiders building a legacy.

Many of these alumni have since gone on to lead teams in global companies such as Google, Moniepoint, and Interswitch, JP Morgan etc. Yet their journey of impact began here, contributing their expertise to design, implement, and scale a system that continues to power SQI’s growth today.

It was innovation powered by legacy. For many of them, it was an opportunity to give back using their skills to strengthen the very system that had shaped their journey.

    Milestones

SQI’s adoption of Edozzier produced concrete, measurable outcomes. The most visible milestone cited by the college’s leadership is expansion:

    • Expansion to 8 additional campuses across 6 cities in 4 years. This rapid scaling was made manageable because operational clarity reduced the risk of each new campus.

    Other operational outcomes included:

    • Faster financial decision-making : Real-time dashboards reduced budgeting cycles and improved cash-flow planning.
    • Reduced administrative time : Automated admission processing and centralized records cut manual reconciliation effort by a significant margin (internal estimates: 40–60% reduction in routine admin time).
    • Accurate payroll and statutory compliance : Automated payroll processing reduced errors and improved staff trust in timely payments.
    • Improved academic monitoring : Centralized gradebooks academic performance tracking made it easier for faculty to identify students needing intervention.

    Beyond Numbers

The true impact of Edozzier is visible in stories from within the college:

    • A bursary officer who once spent days reconciling fee payments can now generate a daily report in minutes and flag defaulters instantly.
    • Campus heads can plan resource allocation with confidence because they can see enrollments and cashflow in near real-time.
    • Academic staff spend less time on paperwork and more time mentoring students and student satisfaction has improved as administrative bottlenecks disappear.

Most importantly, Edozzier helped SQI maintain academic quality while growing, a balance many well-meaning institutions struggle to achieve.

    SQI Leaders Say…

“Edozzier gave us a single place to see how money moves across the college. That visibility changed how we planned and spent, and that made expansion possible.”

    • Adeyemi C. Aderinto, Chairman, SQI College of ICT.

“Managing academics is a walk in the park since Edozzier already automates every aspect of it. Like I usually say, everything is easier with Edozzier.”

    • Oluwaseyi R. Odekomaya, Director of Academics, SQI College of ICT.

    Looking Ahead

Today, SQI continues to grow, powered by technology and driven by vision. Edozzier remains at the heart of its operations, a system built by its people, for its people.

SQI College of ICT’s story with Edozzier is a testimony to what’s possible when vision meets innovation. From one campus to seven, from a single idea to a living ecosystem, SQI College of ICT is proof that technology can do more than automate; it can accelerate purpose.

As Edozzier continues to empower other institutions across Africa, SQI stands as a shining example of what is possible when education and innovation grow side by side.
