EndowPay, the flagship payments platform from Endow Technologies, has launched its redesigned mobile app, introducing a new era of intelligent, fast, and secure bill payments for Nigerians. The upgraded platform is powered by advanced agentic AI, engineered to solve the persistent issues that have defined Nigeria’s digital payment landscape.
Nigeria processed more than eleven billion digital transactions in 2024. Yet users continue to battle failed transfers, unexplained charges, and slow customer support. According to CEO and Co founder Dr Okunola Orogun, EndowPay was created to break that cycle. He explains, “Nigerians deserve a payment app that works every single time, without excuses. That is exactly why we built EndowPay.”
The app’s biggest innovation is its agentic AI system. This technology monitors each transaction in real time, predicts potential failures, and automatically reroutes payments to ensure completion. It also allows users to pay bills through natural language, including English and Nigerian Pidgin. Dr Orogun notes, “Most people do not care about the technology behind payments. They care about whether their light will come on and whether their bills will go through. Our AI handles the complexity so users can enjoy pure simplicity.”
The user experience is clean, fast, and intentionally lightweight. Electricity, water, internet, data, airtime, cable TV, education fees, and transport payments can all be completed in seconds. Users can also buy and send digital gift cards, purchase local and international eSIM data plans, fund their wallet through multiple channels, and make instant peer to peer transfers.
The platform is designed to perform even on weak internet connections. The system automatically retries interrupted transactions until they are completed. Speaking on the core engineering decisions that shaped this, Lead Technical Consultant and Solution Architect Sunkanmi Ijatuyi said, “Our goal from day one was to build a system that performs like infrastructure, not just software. We engineered EndowPay to adapt to Nigerian realities in real time unstable networks, transaction spikes, and power interruptions so users never have to worry about whether a payment will go through.”
EndowPay is backed by a team of Nigerian engineers, AI specialists, and product leaders who have built the system using strict security, privacy, and compliance standards. The platform meets all requirements of the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation and the Nigeria Data Protection Act, ensuring full protection of user information.
The company’s roadmap includes a Buy Now Pay Later feature, an escrow system for secure transactions, and an upcoming community savings tool known as EndowThrift. This feature will digitize Nigeria’s traditional rotational savings culture, giving users a structured and transparent way to save as a group.
During its early testing phase, EndowPay processed more than five million naira in two weeks and served over two thousand users. With the mobile app now live nationwide, the company aims to redefine how Nigerians pay for everyday services and engage with digital finance.
EndowPay continues to position itself as a trusted, homegrown solution built to match the speed of modern life while reflecting local culture, language, and financial realities.
