Huawei has launched its ‘Seed for the Future’ program in Uganda to sponsor ten students from the east African country to its HQ in Shenzhen, China. Beneficiaries from the program will receive training on world-leading innovative communication technologies sponsored by the Chinese ICT solutions provider.
Huawei says its mission to boost ICT technology know-how in Uganda is an initiative to cultivate local ICT talents who will be heading developments and constructions in Uganda ICT industry at the long run.
According to Mr. Li Dafeng, Huawei Senior Vice President, “Huawei is honored to play such an important role in helping Uganda build and enhance its ICT infrastructure.”
“We are excited to share our best practices and success stories from our global network in providing leading innovative technologies and solutions for our existing customers and partners.”
To further drive this initiative, Huawei will also donate 40 desktop computers to the students in the Karamoja district of Uganda.
