The next time you board a Lagos BRT, you might wanna try paying with a debit card. That’s because the Lagos state Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), handlers of the BRT buses have , have commenced electronic ticketing, according to a HumanIPO report. It is expected that the new system could reduce fares to as low as N20.
At this time, it is not clear how many buses have actually been equipped to operate on the new electronic payments regime.
