Google apparently just rolled out an update to its Movie Rental app that now opens up access to an additional 40 countries, including the following African countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gabon, IvoryCoast, Mali, Mauritius, Namibia, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, Zambia

Before this update, only users from Botswana and Zimbabwe could use the Google Play Movies app to rent movies online. Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa are obviously missing from the list, which is really odd because they could be their biggest African markets yet. Regional Licensing issues perhaps? Well, we can’t miss what we never had.
