Last week Opera Software, developers of the popular data-saving Opera Mini browser, announced that the were accepting applications for beta testers for the long overdue Windows Phone version.
The app was released as a private beta to select testers. But now everyone can download Opera Mini for free from the Windows Phone store.
Opera Mini for Windows Phone is still in beta. Perhaps that is the reason it looks like it was designed with the platform in mind. It does not employ any of Windows Phone’s tile and swipe based design elements. Rather, it looks very similar to the Android and iOS version.
Opera Mini is compatible with both Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 devices. Download it here.
