It is now official, after only a couple weeks of testing, Smile Network‘s premier 4G LTE network has gone commercial in Abuja.

This brings the number of cities in which the network is available in Nigeria to 3 — Ibadan, where it first launched, Lagos and now Abuja.

The company is reportedly also currently testing their service in Port-Harcourt. Resident in the oil-rich capital of River’s state can expect it go commercial by the 20th of October.

The Lagos State government is planning to introduce a N25 million license for bike hailing startups. With one road transport union mandating bike hailing riders to pay levies, the government license will stop this and allow startups to operate freely within the state.
