Hello Tomorrow Challenge is now open to startups in Africa. The challenge which is in its second edition, awards participants a grand prize of EUR200,000 (US$235,000).
The challenge is organised by a non-profit organisation Hello Tomorrow - a platform where entrepreneurs invest in start-up based on innovative technologies and research project. The global start-up competition covers major fields of technology such as Food & Agriculture, Materials & Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy & Environment, Information Technology, Transport and Mobility.
“In 2014, we organised the first edition of the Hello Tomorrow Challenge, a global competition of tech startups in Europe and the “First Day of Tomorrow” Conference, which gathered more than 1,500 participants at “La Cité des Sciences” in Paris on April 2014,” Hello Tomorrow said.
The first prize is EUR100,000 (US$117,000) while six runners-up will receive EUR15,000 (US$17,000) each.
Hello Tomorrow gives regular mentoring sessions provided by handpicked devoted experts from a wide range of disciplines.
The competition is open to startups under two years old and must have raised £250.000. Registration is open till Feb 28, 2015.
