In an effort to provide funding capital for SMEs in Nigeria, the management of CBO Investments, joined forces with British Council in awarding $2500 USD to three I.T entrepreneurs in seed funding.

The trio of entrepreneurs: Sulaiman Teslim olalekan (Shopinfo.com), David Ugoagbara (Priceleakers), and Ayodele Elegba (Comicpanel.org) emerged as finalist in the ‘Entrepreneurs Pitching Contest’ organised as part of the just concluded British Council Creative Industries Expo in Lagos.

Chuka Mordi, Director, CBO Investment management said, “The early stages of any business are absolutely crucial for entrepreneurs. By supporting these start-ups during their formative years, we are relieving them of the financial concerns, so they can focus on other key areas that contribute to the overall success and growth of their businesses.”

The event entailed presentation of cheques to the finalist, question and answer segments, comment and investment advice from CBO Investment management team.

CBO is centered on recycling African Funding for African Business, and is said to have invested over USD$49m and returned over USD$70m to investors. The company is also actively investing and raising USD$150m Growth PE fund for small businesses in West African sub region.
