Orange and VC4Africa have released the list of startups that took part in VC4Africa’s Orange Cohort  accelerator program.

Sponsored by Orange, the online acceleration program was held for the  2014 Orange African Social Venture Prize finalists and it took place between November 2014 and February 2015. The program focused on guiding the participants on growing their businesses and positioning it to attract investors.

The Participating Startups at the online accelerator program are AByster Mobile Money (Cameroon), Modisar (Botswana), Pass Docteur (Senegal), PubCell (Cote d’ Ivoire), Station Energy (Cote d’ Ivoire), Twinklebox (Egypt/Kenya), Mewanko Farm (Cameroon), Senemar+ (Cameroon), Agzakhana(Egypt).

According to a post by VC4Africa, “the Orange Cohort program covered all critical topics of business planning and fundraising, such as market segmentation, business model design, and metric/KPI management tools for developing traction. Each participant looked at both their financing needs and how to structure their campaigns for fundraising.”

The  graduating startups will be fundraising on VC4Africa and will pitch their businesses to VC4Africa Investor Network.
