Non-profit organisation, Spark South Africa, will be hosting two accelerator programmes this year, ‘The Spark Changemaker’ and ‘SHE’.

The Spark Changemaker will select 15 changemakers for a six-day programme where they will have access to social entrepreneurship training which will help them focus and accelerate the growth of their venture.The Spark Changemaker will come up in 26-31 July specifically for Cape Town based entrepreneurs and application closes by 25th of May.

The SHE programme will accept only female entrepreneurs for an intensive five days live-in workshop where participants will get to join a small group of Spark Changemakers and learn on social entrepreneurship intently, focusing on non-profit or business and accelerate the growth of venture. It will commence in August, 2nd-7th 2015. Application closes 1st June 2015

We are launching SHE because women are a safe bet and we believe that they are the best levers for change in South Africa,” The Spark Website stated. “We are also launching SHE, because female founders need help. Only 8% of small-medium enterprises, and more than 90% of these fail in their first three years.”

Application is open to South African social entrepreneurs who have launched and are already making a difference in the lives of ten people and want to scale their enterprise to impact many more.
