Owned by ex-model, writer and entrepreneur, Linda Ikeji, the blog is a popular gossip hub in Nigeria, commanding a captive and an unreservedly caustic audience. Linda Ikeji had had to contend copyrights infringement catcalls from time to time, but the blog has only gotten better over time. The blog, according to Alexa is the 13th most visited site in Nigeria.
Owned by the freelance journalist and blogger Ameyaw Kissi Debrah, the blog was launched in 2008. The blog is a curator of celebrity gossips and fashion news from Ghana and the rest of the world. The blog also curate songs and new releases from artists, and allows listeners download songs right away and drop comments too.
In 2013, Ameyawdebrah won the Best Showbiz/Entertainment Blog category for Ghana Social Media Awards, and City People Entertainment Awards for Best Blogger (Ghana) in the same year.
BellaNaija is a Nigerian entertainment, lifestyle and fashion blog launched in July 2006 by Uche Pedro.
The blog started out as a niche wedding and bridals blog site with posts intensely flavored with high-res, and glamour photographs. BellaNaija soon began reporting general entertainment news and sometimes published opinion pieces on Nigeria’s national policies as time went by.

Omgghana is based in Ghana and it publishes its stories mostly in a list format. It publishes the staples of a regular gossip site with focus visuals, sort of like Buzzfeed.
OMGGhana was founded by Boakye Boampong and Dominic Mensah and both are also Co-Founders of Bigxgh.com (rebranded as Bgx.com.gh), a music streaming, music distribution, music sales, music downloads, music services. Omgghana is the 54th most trafficked site in Ghana, according to Alexa.
Kenya- based Mpasho reels off a regular dose of gossip from artistes, fashion, lifestyle, events, politics, music, and explicit toppings. Mpasho news is Radio Africa Group’s clone of Ghafla. The site is the 55th most trafficked site in Kenya, according to Alexa.
Ghafla, began as a music lyrics site in 2009 and has been restructured into an entertainment news and gossip platform. It is owned by Samuel Majani. Ghafla is renowned for its serial stories and captivating gist. Some of the team were coaxed and left to form one of the top gossip outfit in Kenya- Mpasho. Ghafla recorded 2 million readers in February 2015.

Howwe indexes videos about the Ugandan entertainment scene and funny reblogs from other websites. Howee also has a free MP3 downloads website for local artistes.
Uganda’s entertainment blog, publishes stories around celebrities, news, sport, with tons of music that can be listened to while surfing the website. Bigeye has a portal for aggregated lyrics on choice of song too. Bigeye is also big user of list formats.
Nairobiwire feature news on politics, business, technology, sport, weird, entertainment, lifestyle, humour, and social media. The website also run a classifieds website for cars called CarArea.
Glamour is a South African media platform for beauty and lifestyle, celebrity gist, dos and don’ts on fashion, et cetera. It also has a digital edition of the Glamour magazine to which readers can subscribe.
