The director general of the Kenyan Communication Authority (CA), Mr. Francis Wangusi, has won another term as the head of the regulatory body.
He will run the ICT industry for the next four years, starting from August 22, 2015.
There had been much speculation as to who would be appointed to head the organization after his term in August. According to a Techmoran report, the board of CA had advertised an opening for the position in April and May 2015 that saw six other hopefuls vie for the position.
The ICT sector under Mr. Francis had racked up an impressive track record during his three-year tenure. TechMoran says the Wangui drove Kenyan ICT industry, moving it to the third position in Africa. Just last week, the country became the first African country to effect the ITU-set analog switchoff.
