Facebook will partner South African mobile operator, Cell C, to launch Internet.org, in South Africa, according to Techcentral.

Internet.org is a Facebook-led initiative seeking to connect two-thirds of the world that doesn’t have access to the internet yet.

Facebook will partner South African mobile operator, Cell C, to launch Internet.org, in South Africa, according to Techcentral.

The project has already launched in some African countries including Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania. While initial reports announced a May debut for internet.org in Nigeria, Facebook is yet to announce the initiatitive in the country. Partners in the internet.org initiative include Samsung, Opera Software, Nokia and Qualcomm.
