Applications are open for startups based in Rwanda for the Seedstars World competition for early-stage startups.
Rwandan startups have until August 2, 2015 (Sunday) to apply for the event. Ten startups will be nominated to pitch in front of judges, Disrupt Africa states in its report. The judges include Sara Leedom, managing director at Inkomoko, Paul Soko, investment manager at think and Patrick Kabagema, co-founder of Axiom Networks Rwanda.
“At Seedstars World, we know incredible talent is found everywhere and we can’t wait to discover Rwanda’s finest entrepreneurs,” said Gregory Pepper, regional manager for Africa at Seedstars World. “We are very excited to meet some of the country’s pioneers, already shaping the world’s future with their great ideas.”
Seedstars pitch competition started this year in May and will hold across 12 African cities till November. In Nigeria, ten startups are currently pitching their businesses at the Lagos pitch event.
