Lagos-based co-working space and incubator, Co-Creation Hub is inviting startups to apply for the first edition of its hyperlocal hackathon; BuildForMyCity.

The hackathon will focus on web and mobile solutions that address the needs of citizen in the Yaba and Surulere area of Lagos. CcHub itself is based in Yaba.

“We invite local companies, technology product companies and individual residents with ideas of hyperlocal solutions that can reside in these neighbourhood to join us for the rapid prototyping hackathon,” the organizers said. “At Build For My City, we would have the opportunity to hack the solutions together and test in a neighbourhood that is fast-emerging as Nigeria’s digital technology hub.”

The innovations could improve either life, work, education and must interact with public services within these areas.

Participants with innovative ideas or solutions can apply to participate at the hackathon. Also developers who are interested in executing the ideas of other participants can also apply.

The hackathon will hold on the 4th and 5th of September, 2015 at the CcHub, Lagos.
