LaunchLab is accepting entries into its bi-annual Idea Programme Pitching Platform tailored for startups in the Western Cape, South Africa.

Ventureburn reports that successful startups will get to share the R100 000 ($7000) prize.

The pitch event is aimed at students and the general community with innovative ideas to kick start their startups. The organizers are looking out for innovations in payment, big data, paid media, cleantech, agritech, edutech and the likes.

Interested participants can pitch their ideas at any of the following centers; University of the Western Cape, University of Cape Town, Technical and Vocational Education and Training College and False Bay College

The pitches will be recorded at the various centers and sent to the judges. Successful finalists will be contacted to participate at the finals set for the 14th of October, 2015 at the Nedbank Stellenbosch University LaunchLab.

The Nedbank Stellenbosch University LaunchLab was launched in March, 2015 as a collaboration between the department of Trade and Industry, Stellenbosch University, Nedbank and Innovus.
